Exciting Upcoming Meetings in Knoxville: Don’t Miss Out!
Knoxville residents, it’s time to mark your calendars! The Knox County Commission has just released its schedule for meetings in 2025, and there are plenty of opportunities for you to get involved in local governance. Whether you’re interested in finance, zoning, or just want to stay in the loop about your community, there’s something for everyone.
Meeting Dates You Should Know!
First up, the finance meetings are set for February 19, May 12, August 18, and November 10, all at 2:00 PM. But if you’re more interested in reorganization, catch those meetings on September 2 at 1:00 PM. There’s also an optional agenda review session slated for 3:00 PM on all the same days!
The excitement doesn’t stop there. Are you interested in zoning? The zoning meetings kick off in January with a special meeting on January 22 starting at 5:00 PM! Following that, you can catch more zoning discussions on March 24, April 21, May 12, June 16, July 21, August 18, September 15, October 20, and November 10—all at 5:00 PM in the Main Assembly Room of the City-County Building at 400 Main Street.
Let Your Voice Be Heard!
And let’s not forget the Beer Board and Commission meetings, where your local representatives tackle all kinds of what matters in our community. These will happen on the same days as the zoning meetings, so whether you’re curious about permits or want to share your views, be sure to show up!
Stay Informed
For those looking to catch up on commission agendas before the meetings, don’t worry. All agendas will be available on the commission’s website at www.knoxcounty.org/commission. So, feel free to browse through and find out what angles or new projects you might be excited about!
Important Notices to Creditors
In more solemn news, several estates within Knoxville are requesting creditors to come forward with claims. Remember, if you have any relationship with the estates of Linda Louise Beckham, Cecil Louis Brown Jr., William Michael Bunch, and several others, you must submit your claims by the dates specified in their public notices or risk losing your opportunity entirely.
These notices emphasize the need for individuals to pay close attention to deadlines, which range from four months from the first publication date or twelve months from the date of death, depending on the estate’s particulars. If you find yourself needing more information, the respective courts are always there to lend a helping hand.
Bid Opportunities!
Lastly, if you’re looking to get involved in community projects or provide services to the county, keep in mind that Knox County is receiving bids for various services, including carpet tile, diesel engine repairs, auditing services, and more! These opportunities are listed through the county’s procurement division.
So whether you’re interested in governance, local community issues, or potential business opportunities, Knoxville’s 2025 agenda is packed with events that hold promise for engagement and action. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for any changes to the meetings, since dates, locations, and times are subject to change. Get involved and stay connected, Knoxville!
