Warm Memories of Rosella Kelley Remembered in Knoxville

Knoxville is feeling a little sad today as we come together to remember a wonderful woman, Rosella Kelley, who left us for her eternal home on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at the age of 78. Born on April 11, 1946, in the lovely little town of Clinton, TN, Rosella was the beloved daughter of the late Ondes and Dorothy Adkins Crowley.

A Life Well-Lived

Rosella’s life was filled with love and family. She was not just a mother; she was a nurturing force in the lives of her children. Whispers of her kindness will echo through the hearts of all who knew her, particularly her son, Greg Kelley, who, along with his lovely wife, Susan, cherished every moment spent with her.

Rosella was also a proud grandmother to four beautiful granddaughters — Alecia York (married to Travis), Allison Morgan (married to Dustin), and Andrea McCormick (married to Jason). And let’s not forget the family’s newest blessings, her 15 great-grandchildren, who undoubtedly brought her immense joy.

A Legacy of Love

She may be gone, but Rosella’s memory will shine on through her beloved family. She leaves behind a large, loving family that includes sisters Novella Bingham, Phyllis Fritts, Gail Phillips (and her husband Dwayne), and Deddie Queener. Her brothers, L.B. Crowley (married to Dolores), Charles Crowley (married to Margaret Ann), Chuck Crowley, David Crowley (married to Gale), and Patrick Crowley, are also holding on tightly to the memories that Rosella created.

She was never short on love for her extended family, including many nieces, nephews, and friends, who will miss her dearly. Rosella brought warmth and kindness into every life she touched, and her laugh was a melody that will linger in the hearts of her loved ones.

Final Farewell

A special gathering is planned for Friday, November 15, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Rosella’s family will meet at the Jarnigan Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery for a graveside service, where friends are welcome to join in celebrating her beautiful life. It will be a time to share memories, laughter, and a few tears as they honor the incredible woman Rosella was.

Friends and Family Unite

Rosella has joined her son, Jeff Kelley, in heavenly rest, and we can only imagine the joy it brings to see them together again. She also reunited with her sisters, Otella Russell and Theresa Flatford, along with her brothers, W.F., Jack, and Terry Crowley. This bittersweet reunion is a reminder of the love that never dies.

After saying our goodbyes, we hope everyone can hold on tight to their memories of Rosella Kelley. She may not be with us in body, but her spirit will live on as a guiding light for her family and friends in Knoxville and beyond. May her memory continue to inspire love, kindness, and connection, just as she did in life.

Wrap Up

As we reflect on the life of Rosella Kelley, we are reminded to celebrate those we love while we still can. Let’s share stories, laugh, and honor the memories that shaped us. For Rosella, farewell for now; your light will forever shine in the hearts of those who loved you.
