MEDIC Regional Blood Center Claims Victory in Donation Competition
Knoxville, Tenn. — Here in Knoxville, we’ve got something to celebrate! The MEDIC Regional Blood Center recently wrapped up its annual blood donation competition against the LifeSouth Blood Center in Florida, and it’s safe to say, we came out on top! As the Tennessee Volunteers prepared to take on the Gators on the football field, the stakes were just as high in the blood donation arena.

The competition, which ran until September 20, generated incredible enthusiasm and a healthy dose of friendly rivalry. When the dust settled, MEDIC announced it had collected a whopping 1,727 donations, edging out LifeSouth, which garnered 1,694 donations.
