Get Ready for Some Winter Warmth in Knoxville!

Hey there, Knoxville! The chilly weather is rolling in, and it’s that time of year again when we come together to help those in need. The city is buzzing with excitement over the very first Annual “People Helping People” Winter Coat Drive, which is happening at Barley’s in the Old City! But that’s not all folks—there’s a fantastic concert to look forward to as well!

Coat Collection for a Cause

Now through the end of December 2024, you can drop off your gently used or brand-new winter outerwear at Barley’s. This is a golden opportunity for you to clean out your closets and pass on those lovely coats, especially since the cold snaps are already starting to hit. Every coat makes a difference, especially since CareCuts of Knoxville will be distributing these warm garments to those who need them the most.

What’s desperately needed? Coats for men, women, and children are at the top of the wish list. So if you’ve got one collecting dust in a corner, why not put it to good use? Just make sure the coats are clean and in wearable condition—the goal is to keep everyone snug and cozy this winter!

Capricornucopia Concert: Let the Good Times Roll!

Mark your calendars for December 29th at 8 p.m. because that’s when all the fun climaxes with the Capricornucopia 2024 concert! Get ready to enjoy some amazing live music featuring headliners Mic Harrison & the High Score and John Davis from Superdrag. These artists are guaranteed to get the crowd moving and grooving!

But wait, there’s more! There will also be captivating performances from special guests like Mercy Lights, Cruz Contreras, Adeem the Artist, and several other talented musicians. The atmosphere will be buzzing—so you definitely don’t want to miss out!

Get the Party Started Early

Want to get the party started before the concert? Arrive early because DJ tenSpeed from Los Angeles will be spinning some fantastic vinyl from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. inside Barley’s. What better way to warm up for a night of fantastic music than by enjoying some epic tunes while mingling with fellow music enthusiasts and helping a great cause?

A Turn of Pages

During the concert, there’s also a special treat! A book signing and live interview with local legend Mark T. Dunn is in the works. Dunn, a native of Maryville, is not only the drummer for Mic Harrison & the High Score but is also set to talk about his book “Kick It Off-On the Road With George Jones.” It’ll be a chance to hear some insider stories and learn more about his adventurous life in music.

Admission: Give Back to Get In!

Admission to the concert is just a minimum donation of $5, but wait—there’s a sweet deal! Anyone who brings a coat for donation will snag a raffle ticket for exciting giveaways taking place between concert sets. You might just go home a winner!
