Sponsor Our ArticlesKnoxville, a city known for its vibrant community and a wealth of entrepreneurial spirit, is buzzing with excitement about the launch of a new co-working space specially designed for tech startups. This innovative space, named 121 Tech Hub, is set to become a pivotal part of Knoxville’s fast-growing tech landscape.
Brandon Bruce, a well-respected name in the entrepreneurial community, has been at the forefront of nurturing tech companies and startups for years. Often described as a “connector and risk-taker,” Brandon truly embodies the spirit of an adventurer. Many in the area find his story of how he broke his leg a couple of years ago quite entertaining and inspiring!
Brandon, along with business partner John Bruck, identified a significant gap in Knoxville’s ecosystem for tech companies. With a passion for supporting others, they developed the idea for 121 Tech Hub. Located at 121 East Jackson Avenue, this vibrant hub sits conveniently across from Barley’s and is just a short walk from the city’s new stadium, which is shaping up to be an exciting addition.
The 121 Tech Hub is not just another office space; it’s designed to foster collaboration, creativity, and innovation. With almost ceiling-to-floor windows that bathe the room in natural light, the facility feels open and inviting. Comfortable seating in the lobby provides a cozy gathering place, perfectly suited for casual meetings or brainstorming sessions, available for reservation.
Venture upstairs to level two, which serves as the main floor for the Tech Hub. Here, you’ll find a variety of amenities tailored for tech entrepreneurs. Multiple standing desks come equipped with screens, and there are private pods available for calls or meetings, ensuring everyone has a quiet space when needed. Additionally, a large conference room is available for those team brainstorming activities that require a collective creative push.
The pricing structure at 121 Tech Hub is intentionally set to accommodate various budgets—starting at just $250 per month. This makes it an accessible option for budding tech startups eager to establish themselves without the heavy financial burden. Currently, the space has room for up to 25 members, but there are plans in place to make gentle renovations in the basement area to allow for even more meeting or office space.
The official launch of 121 Tech Hub is set for October 2 from 5-7 PM, timed perfectly to coincide with the festivities of Inno865 week, hosted by the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center. This gathering promises to be a fantastic opportunity for entrepreneurs and community members to explore the space and connect with like-minded individuals. Brandon Bruce, heavily involved in this event, has worked tirelessly to ignite a spark within the community’s entrepreneurial endeavors.
As the city prepares for the stadium’s completion, the area surrounding 121 Tech Hub is sure to see a significant growth spurt. Including exciting announcements like a new restaurant by Jim Klonaris and a SpringHill Suites hotel, there is plenty of progression underway. The preservation and renovation of the One Two One Building is a commendable move that supports local history while paving the way for future innovation and growth.
The buzz around Knoxville’s emerging tech scene and the creation of spaces like the 121 Tech Hub indicates that this city is not just growing but evolving. As entrepreneurs gather and collaborate in this thoughtfully designed space, we can only imagine the remarkable ideas and innovations that will emerge from it. Here’s to the bright future of Knoxville and the vibrant community that shapes it!
