Sponsor Our ArticlesKnoxville Area Transit (KAT) will offer fare-free rides throughout Election Day in a bid to support voter turnout and ensure easy access to polling stations.
“Access to transportation is crucial for voter participation. We want to remove any barriers that might prevent people from getting to the polls,” the Director of Transit for the City of Knoxville informed.
Passengers can plan out their route to the polling stations using the free Transit app or the trip planner feature available on the KAT website. For any kind of assistance, they may also contact KAT’s customer service at 865-637-3000.
To find polling location, citizens are encouraged to visit www.KnoxVotes.org.
This initiative underlines KAT’s commitment to supporting civic engagement and ensuring that every voter can exercise their fundamental right to vote.
