The city of Knoxville is still seeking closure four years after a tragic shooting in the Western Heights area precipitated a prolonged homicide investigation. The Knoxville Police Department (KPD) is still active in this unsettling case which left a woman dead outside an apartment on Better Tomorrow Drive.
Knoxville Police Department members were called to the Western Heights Apartments early in the morning. Responding to reports of an unresponsive person, they discovered Katelyn Slivenski, lifeless, outside an apartment building.
Without concrete answers and struggling to solve the case years after the incident, KPD utilized X, formerly known as Twitter, to ask the public for assistance. They discussed the unsolved case of Katelyn Slivenski, seeking any information that may lead to a resolution. “Four years ago, 24-year-old Katelyn Slivenski was shot and killed in Northwest Knoxville. Her case remains unsolved.”
Knoxville Police Department is hoping for any information that could bring this lengthy investigation to an end or reveal something relevant to the case. The city is hoping to finally close this painful chapter and bring justice for Katelyn and her grieving family.
