Knoxville’s 45th Annual Greek Fest Promises Food, Fun, and Cultural Celebrations

Knoxville Welcomes the 45th Annual Greek Fest

Knoxville, TN—Get ready to eat, dance, and celebrate at the 45th annual Greek Fest! Hosted by the historic St. George Greek Orthodox Church, this beloved festival is back and better than ever. Mark your calendars for a fun-filled weekend from Friday, September 27 through Sunday, September 29. Doors will swing open at 11 a.m. every day, with extended hours on Friday and Saturday until 10 p.m., and Sunday wrapping up at 5 p.m.

Exciting New Additions

This year’s festival promises to be something special! Lygia Karagiozis, a representative from the church, shared that the event will feature exciting new vendors and activities. If you’ve ever wanted to experience Greek culture in a hands-on way, this is your chance. “This year we’re actually going to have Greek dance lessons, so you can bust a move out on the dance floor!” Karagiozis said. Talk about a great way to let loose while engaging with the culture!

Cooking Classes and More

If you fancy yourself more of a chef than a dancer, you’ll be pleased to know that cooking classes will also be on offer. Between browsing the church tours and watching the vibrant dance shows that festival-goers love, you can learn how to cook authentic Greek dishes. Now that’s delicious multitasking!

The event will also be showcasing a variety of authentic Greek foods, desserts, and beverages. So, whether you’re craving a plate of moussaka, some succulent souvlaki, or sopping up delicious tzatziki with pita, your taste buds are in for a treat. Don’t forget to save room for some baklava! A festival just isn’t complete without those scrumptious layers of pastry and honey syrup.

Handcrafted Treasures

Aside from the food, Greek Fest will feature a delightful array of hand-crafted goods and jewelry that showcase Greek artistry. These treasures would make perfect gifts or a memento for yourself to remember the lively experience. So don’t forget to bring a little extra pocket money for that perfect piece that catches your eye!

Affordable Fun for Everyone

If you’re worried about your budget, there’s no need! Tickets are affordable, with a day pass costing just $3 and a weekend pass available for only $5. Kids aged 12 and under can join in the festivities for free! With family-friendly activities and entertainment, it’s a perfect outing for all ages.

Join the Fun!

Whether you’re a long-time attendee or a first-time visitor, Knoxville’s Greek Fest promises a warm welcome and a festive atmosphere that’ll make you feel right at home. See you there!
