Knoxville Launches Early Voting with New Locations and Special Events!

Knoxville Kicks Off Early Voting with Exciting New Locations!

Welcome to a thrilling time of the year, Knoxville! Get ready because early voting is about to begin, and this is an event you surely don’t want to miss. Starting on Wednesday, October 16, residents will have the opportunity to cast their votes at a record-setting twelve early voting locations throughout Knox County.

Where to Vote

This year, Knox County is rolling out early voting at eleven locations to start with and adding a twelfth spot on the University of Tennessee campus for the final week of voting. That means you’ll have more flexibility and choices than ever before. Here’s the rundown of where you can go:

  • Meridian Baptist Church in south Knoxville,
  • Karns Senior Center in northwest Knox County,
  • And several more locations across the county. The full list of voting spots will surely make it easier for everyone to participate!

Curious about exact timings? No worries! Most locations will have generous hours for early voting, with specific details available in the daily schedule. You can check out all the daily voting times at the Knox County Election website.

Special Days and Late Nights

Mark your calendars for some important dates! To spice things up, two Saturdays have been dedicated to early voting. This makes it easier for those with busy workweeks to find time to express their voices. And don’t forget, for those of you on the University of Tennessee campus, the last week of early voting (from October 28 to 31) provides that extra opportunity as well.

Important Voting Guidelines

If you are a first-time voter, there are a few things to keep in mind! While it’s handy to have your voter registration card to speed up the process, it’s not a must-have to vote. However, you will need to bring a photo ID issued by the State of Tennessee or the Federal Government—think Tennessee Driver’s License or passport. Please note that out-of-state licenses or student IDs cannot be accepted for voting purposes in Tennessee. For anyone needing help regarding what ID you can use, visit the state’s election website.
