Knoxville Courthouse Update: Service Notices, Adoption Proceedings, and Estate Claims Announced

Knoxville Courthouse News: Important Notices and Upcoming Hearings

Knoxville, Tennessee has been buzzing with legal activity this month! If you’re in the area, especially if you’ve got a legal interest in local cases, you’ll want to pay attention. From adoption proceedings to estate clearing, there’s quite a lot happening in the courts. Here’s your friendly guide to the latest updates and notices.

Publication of Service Notices for Multiple Cases

First on the docket is an order for service by publication concerning the case of Candice Olivia Enoch and Stephen Dalton Enoch vs. Kerington Bingham. If you happen to know Ms. Bingham, she should be aware that a judge has authorized notification via publication due to her being untraceable for legal correspondence. The service will be published in a local paper for four consecutive weeks starting from September 23, 2024. She’s required to respond by mailing her answer to the petitioner’s attorney, Kara Bellar, in Carthage, Tennessee, or deliver it directly within the required timeframe.

Mark your calendars! If you’re interested or if you are affected by the outcome, a final hearing is set for October 28, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at the Macon County Justice Center.

Multiple Adoption Notices

The adoption scene is equally busy! An important notice is out for the adoption of a young boy known in these proceedings as Hadden Blair. His biological father, Devonte J. Blair, is a non-resident and cannot be found to notify directly. If you have any information regarding Mr. Blair, he is advised to respond to the Chancery Court in Knoxville within 30 days to avoid any default judgment against him.

Lucky for Hadden, there are loving petitioners, Gabirel and Eugena Matias, looking to provide him with a nurturing home. The clock is ticking as time is of the essence for Mr. Blair, who must respond by the deadline provided in the notice.

Notices To Creditors Regarding Estates

notices to creditors have been issued recently. Here are just a few examples:
  • The estate of Dorothy E. Armstrong has issued a notice reminding creditors to file their claims within four months from the first publication on October 1, 2024, or they may forever lose the right to make such claims.
  • Ella Jean Bradley’s estate is in the same boat; its creditors need to pay attention and file by the deadlines offered.
  • The estates of David John Bridges, Jerry Bunch, Jane D. Coleman, and many others have all issued similar notifications with specific deadlines attached.

If you are affected or have any outstanding claims, ensure you follow the legal guidance laid out in these notices to protect your rights.

Vehicle Lien Sale Notices

lien sale notices have been shared. Various vehicles from a 1997 Lincoln TownCar to a 2013 Ford Fiesta are set for auction if current owners fail to reclaim their property by the stipulated dates. Mark November 18, 2024 on your calendars for the public auction at Cedar Bluff Towing and Chestnut Street Transport & Recovery!

In Summary

From critical court hearings to timely offers for accumulated estate claims, it’s a busy time in Knoxville’s legal circle. If you or someone you know is affected by any of these notices, make sure to act quickly. As always, stay informed, stay prepared, and don’t hesitate to contact a local attorney for assistance where needed. Keeping our community aware and engaged ensures our legal system works effectively for everyone!
