If you’re a fan of delicious eats in Knoxville, then you’re in for a real treat! Dustin Cochran, a name many of you might already know from the local food scene, has just opened the doors to his latest venture, T. Ralph’s Burgers, right in Kern’s Food Hall. If you’re not familiar with Dustin, he’s the mastermind behind Myrtle’s Bakehouse cookies and has made quite a splash in our food community since 2021.
T. Ralph’s is named after Dustin’s grandfather, paying homage to family traditions just like Myrtle’s is for his grandmother. Dustin’s journey is all about blending his strong family ties with his passion for quality food. It’s an adventure that started with popping up his famous cookies at various markets and moved on to owning the beloved Richy Kreme Donuts in both Maryville and West Knoxville. And let’s not forget the fun food truck known as Donut Theory! Talk about a culinary journey!
What can you expect at T. Ralph’s? Oh, just some mouthwatering double-patty smash-style burgers made from Grainger County’s Mitchell Family Farm beef. If you haven’t tried their beef yet, they’re a fixture every Saturday at the Market Square Farmer’s Market. You can rest assured every burger is fresh and full of flavor. And let’s not skim over the lovely housemade brioche buns and an enticing variety of toppings. Plus, for those who need a gluten-free option, there’s a specially made gluten-free bun available upon request!
I had the pleasure of sitting down with Dustin and his new manager, Robert McClain, to discuss T. Ralph’s exciting new concept. Robert was all smiles; his positivity and enthusiasm for the food stall are infectious! With a background in the service industry, he’s ready to ensure that every customer leaves with a smile and full belly. Their mission? To provide a fantastic customer experience from the moment you step up to order, to the joy of receiving your delicious meal.
The menu is streamlined, focusing on quality and speed. While you can’t go wrong with their burgers, don’t sleep on the hand-cut fries—both regular and sweet potato—crafted through a unique soaking process for that perfect crispy texture. Alongside your fries, enjoy a tasty selection of housemade sauces, like the Git Down sauce and the delectable Maple Dijon Sriracha. Seriously, these sauces are must-tries!
What’s more? T. Ralph’s has a kid’s meal, featuring a single-patty burger and fries, and a Farmstand Burger and fries combo priced under $15. It’s a win for both parents watching the budget and kids who just want something delicious! Plus, keep an eye out for seasonal specials as they harness the freshest ingredients available from local farmers.
And if that wasn’t enough to get you excited, let’s talk convenience. T. Ralph’s is open Monday through Thursday from 10:30 AM to 9:30 PM and stays open even later on Fridays and Saturdays. Parking is a breeze at Kern’s, with the first two hours free—so you can grab those eats without worrying about parking penalties!
Be sure to swing by T. Ralph’s and say hello to the friendly crew. They’re eager to serve up some tasty burgers and make your dining experience a joy. And here’s a little inside scoop—there’s another exciting project coming soon from Dustin and his team, so stay tuned for more delicious news!
Now is the perfect time to check out T. Ralph’s Burgers, whether it’s for a quick lunch break or a fun dinner with family and friends. Don’t forget to let them know we sent you!
