An anticipated reunion tour performance by rock band ‘Heart’, that was expected to take place in Knoxville in August 2024, has been postponed. The performance had been scheduled at Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center on August 24 but has been delayed.
The “Royal Flush Tour,” which was stopped on July 2, revealed medical reasons behind the halt. Heart’s lead vocalist, Ann Wilson, updated fans on her health situation. In June 2024, she underwent surgery to remove a cancerous growth. Despite successful surgery results, she must undergo preventative chemotherapy, which means no stage performances for the remainder of the year.
Despite this setback, Heart confirmed that the tour will not be canceled, just delayed. Ticket holders are advised to keep their tickets as they will be considered valid for the rescheduled dates.
Heart is known for hits like “Alone,” “Barracuda,” “Crazy on You” and “Magic Man.” Since their debut in the ’70s, they’ve sold over 35 million albums. Their most recent tour marked their return to the concert stage since 2019. Their influence and success in the music industry led to their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
Ann Wilson assures fans that this setback is merely a pause in their career. She thanked fans for their support and revealed her intentions to return to the stage in 2025. She mentioned, “This is merely a pause. I’ve much more to sing.” More information regarding the future will be shared soon.
