Melinda Black, who hails from Pennsylvania, explained, “This is my eighth year to spend Halloween in Knoxville because it’s fun and beautiful. It feels like you’re on the set of a Halloween movie!” Her enthusiasm truly captures the essence of what makes this community so special—an old-fashioned, family-friendly celebration that brings people together.
First-Time Trick-or-Treaters

For little Elias Lee, it marks his very first trick-or-treating experience! “This is his first Halloween. It’s his second costume but the first one where he gets to carry his own basket and actually collect some candy,” shared his dad, Stephen Lee. Dressed as a pirate, Elias seems to be enjoying every minute of this memorable occasion. “He loves riding in this wagon and just looks like Captain Jack. It felt natural for him to want to be a pirate,” his father chuckled.
