Fire Engulfs Home in Knoxville, Residents Escape Unharmed

KNOXVILLE: Fire Breaks Out at Bradshaw Garden Road Home

Today in Knoxville, a fire broke out at a residential property located at 2013 Bradshaw Garden Road. The Knox County 911 Center received a frantic call about the flames consuming the rear of the house. Fortunately, the caller reported that all occupants, including a minor female and her adult female guardian, had safely evacuated the home along with their beloved dog

The Fire Response

The first unit from the Knoxville Fire Department (KFD) arrived on the scene to find a blaze raging on the porch at the back of the residence. Reports indicated that the fire had rapidly spread, with flames extending into the attic space of the home. Quick to act, KFD crews sprang into action and efficiently knocked down the flames, preventing further spread.

Once they managed to access the attic, the firefighters worked diligently to extinguish the remaining fire. Despite their swift response, the home has reported experiencing moderate smoke, water, and fire damage. A small number of belongings were affected, but what’s most important is that everyone escaped without injury.

Injuries and Assistance

While the residents were unharmed, one firefighter did sustain minor injuries during the response. This individual was promptly transported to a local hospital for further evaluation, highlighting the risks that first responders take daily to ensure the safety of others.

The American Red Cross has also stepped in to assist the affected family with their immediate needs. They provide essential support services for families facing challenges due to emergencies like these, ensuring that people have what they need in the wake of such traumatic incidents.

Investigations Underway

In light of today’s events, the KFD investigations unit is on-site and actively probing the scene to determine the cause of the fire. While the investigation continues, it’s a reminder of how quickly things can change and the importance of having a plan in case of emergencies. House fires can strike unexpectedly, and ensuring the safety of everyone in the home is paramount.

Community Support

This incident serves as an important call to the community, reminding everyone of the need for preparedness, safety measures, and a solid emergency plan. For the family involved, it’s heartwarming to see how the community rallies around those affected by such incidents.

As this situation develops and more information comes to light, residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and informed. Fires can happen to anyone, and knowing how to act fast can save lives.
