If you love music and good times, mark your calendars! Farragut is about to host a delightful event that you won’t want to miss. Join in the fun at the upcoming Songwriters Showcase taking place on February 24 at the lively venue of Topgolf Knoxville.
This exciting musical evening is set for a Monday from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM in the inviting event space located at 11400 Outlet Drive. Gather your friends and family for a fabulous showcase of talent featuring local artists who know a thing or two about captivating melodies!
Get ready to be entertained by some incredibly talented musicians! Hosting this fantastic showcase is David Haley Lauver, who calls Farragut home and currently serves as the education and public relations director for the Knoxville Songwriters Association. He’s not just any host; Lauver co-wrote the Grammy-nominated song, “Appalachian Blue”, as well as another beloved track, “Jezebel”, which topped the charts in the Bluegrass genre.
Joining him will be the wonderful Karen Bowles, who hails from West Knox County and is also a dedicated board member of the Knoxville Songwriters Association. Bowles has a flair for creating music across various genres, including gospel and country, and was a co-writer on the same Bluegrass hit, “Appalachian Blue.” Talk about talent!
And let’s not forget Mitch Townley, an award-winning songwriter from Knoxville who brings his versatile skills to the stage. With over 70 independent artist cuts to his name and contributions to network TV and documentaries, Townley’s knack for songwriting spans country and Christian country genres.
Now, here’s the best part: tickets for this fantastic event are FREE! However, you’ll need to secure your spot in advance by registering on Eventbrite.com for priority seating. If you happen to miss that, don’t fret—you can still register at the door, but seating is limited, so arrive early to grab a good seat!
As a fun little surprise, a small token of appreciation will be given to a select number of guests, making your night even more memorable. Plus, keep your eyes peeled for Kapture Knoxville, a local photo booth company that will be there to help you capture those special moments with fun mementos!
