Knoxville, TN – Evolve Yoga, a new wellness studio, is set to celebrate its grand opening on September 1, 2024. Located at 3726 Sevier Heights Road, this vibrant space aims to provide a welcoming, calming environment for yoga enthusiasts and newcomers alike. The new location is part of the thriving Baker Creek Preserve area, which has recently welcomed other businesses like Crafty Bastard, Hummingbird Café, and Bear Paw Bike Shop.
The founder of Evolve Yoga, Joanna Goan, has a unique story. After years in the corporate world that brought her anxiety and physical stress, Joanna discovered the benefits of yoga. In 2015, she decided to try yoga, initially hesitant but soon finding herself deeply engaged. This led her to enroll in a teacher training program in 2016 and eventually open the first Evolve Yoga location in a renovated backyard shed in 2019.
Over the years, Joanna’s passion for yoga grew, allowing her to combine her background in nutrition and wellness with her yoga practice. Today, her studio is recognized for its hands-on teaching style and commitment to client success.
Joanna and her business partner, CJ Popp, have created a close-knit community within their studio. CJ, who initially became a friend through yoga classes, has been instrumental in Joanna’s journey toward opening this new space. Together, they are excited about the possibilities their new studio holds.
Currently, Evolve Yoga is offering practice classes leading up to the grand opening to allow potential members to experience their unique approach to yoga before the big day.
Newcomers might find the idea of attending a yoga class a bit intimidating, especially if they’ve only practiced at home. However, participants can expect a friendly environment where everyone is focused on their own practice rather than analyzing others. A firsthand experience during the trial classes illustrated this point perfectly. Many attendees were regular practitioners or fellow instructors, yet the atmosphere remained warm and inviting.
Classes like Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra offer unique benefits. While Yin Yoga focuses on stretching seldom-used tissue and encourages breathing through discomfort, Yoga Nidra takes participants into a state of deeply conscious relaxation while lying down.
Evolve Yoga aims to meet diverse wellness needs by offering various classes, including hot yoga, power yoga, prenatal yoga, and more. Joanna also plans to provide nutrition consultations and training sessions for future yoga teachers.
To celebrate their opening, Evolve Yoga will feature special promotions for community members. They’re offering a 30 for $30 deal in the first couple of months. This promotion allows unlimited access to classes for 30 days, making it easier for newcomers to explore different styles and find their favorite teachers.
The grand opening celebration on September 1 will kick off at 4 p.m. and conclude when the last guests leave. Attendees can look forward to music and light snacks provided by local businesses in Baker Creek Preserve. The event offers a chance to tour the new studio and get acquainted with the skilled teachers who will lead the classes.
For those interested in checking out Evolve Yoga, follow them on social media to stay updated on classes and special events. With a commitment to making wellness accessible and enjoyable, this new studio aims to become a local hub for yoga practitioners of all levels.
