Clinton Welcomes All Veterans for a Heartwarming Breakfast Gathering

Hey there, Clinton! Are you ready for a fantastic event that brings our amazing veterans together? Mark your calendars because on September 14, the doors of the Clinton Community Center will swing wide open at 8:30 a.m. for the much-loved monthly veterans breakfast! This is a perfect chance for veterans from all walks of life to come together, share stories, and enjoy a delicious meal.

What’s Happening at the Breakfast?

So, what’s on the menu for this special morning? While we can’t spill the beans on all of it, we can promise you a delightful spread prepared with love and care by local volunteers. After serving up a hearty breakfast, there will be a brief program at 9 a.m. to kick off the morning festivities.

The breakfast is not just a meal; it’s a heartfelt gathering where veterans can fellowship and connect with one another. Whether you’re a veteran from the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marines, or from any other branch, you’ll find a warm atmosphere full of camaraderie waiting for you. And, of course, you’re welcome to bring your spouse, family, or friends along!

Who’s Making This Happen?

This wonderful event is hosted by the citizens of Anderson County, and this month’s breakfast is proudly sponsored by the Clinton High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) Dragon Squadron. It’s heartwarming to see such local support rallying together to celebrate and honor our veterans.

And let’s not forget the invaluable role that the city of Clinton plays as a special sponsor by providing the venue and setup for these monthly gatherings. It’s a community effort, and it takes many hands to create the magic that happens at the breakfast table!

Gratitude to Our Supporters

The love doesn’t stop there. Local media also deserve a round of applause for spreading the word to ensure that every veteran knows about this fantastic breakfast. Their commitment helps make sure no one misses out on this friendly opportunity to connect.

Additionally, let’s take a moment to thank the many generous donors who provide exciting monthly door prizes. It’s always fun to walk away with a little something extra, and our donors make that possible!

Looking Ahead

For those who may want to stay involved, here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming next: the next breakfast after September will be held on October 12, sponsored by Rebecca Watts with Humana. Following that, November 9 will feature AMVETS Post 2 and AMVETS Auxiliary Post 2 Oak Ridge as sponsors, while December 14 will see support from Gentivahs and Brent Wallace.

The first breakfast of the new year, set for January 11, 2025, will be sponsored by Mayor Jason Stiltner and Big Orange Tree Service, and February 8, 2025, will wrap up the sponsored breakfasts with backing from the Clinton Lions Club. It’s clearly a busy but rewarding lineup!

Get Involved!

If you or someone you know is looking to sponsor a breakfast or get involved in any way, don’t hesitate to reach out to Terry Frank at 865-310-4097. Also, for any questions or more information, you can shoot an email to VeteransofAndersonCounty@gmail.com, or search on Facebook for the Veterans Appreciation Breakfast – Anderson County page.

So, veterans of Clinton, we can’t wait to see you on September 14. Bring your appetites and your stories, and let’s make some new memories together!
