Clinton Community Center to Host Heartwarming Veterans Breakfast on October 12

Welcome Back to Breakfast for Veterans in Clinton!

Clinton, a lovely city nestled in the heart of Anderson County, is once again gearing up to show appreciation for its local heroes with a community veterans breakfast on October 12. This warm gathering will take place at the Clinton Community Center, located at 101 S. Hicks St. The doors will swing open at 8:30 a.m. so veterans can fill their plates and their hearts before a brief program begins at 9 a.m.

A Community Affair

The monthly breakfast is a heartwarming initiative hosted by delightful residents of Anderson County, all coming together to create a wonderful morning for our veterans. This month, the breakfast is thoughtfully sponsored by Rebecca Watts with Humana. It’s a well-loved event providing a perfect opportunity for veterans from all branches of the military—young and old alike—to gather, share stories, and enjoy some delicious food.

If you’re a veteran, don’t hesitate to bring along your spouse, family members, or friends! Everyone is welcome at this friendly get-together, reminding all that camaraderie and community support are paramount.

Thanks to Our Supporters

It’s not just the breakfast that makes this event special, though; it’s the community spirit behind it! The city of Clinton has stepped up as a gracious sponsor, offering their location and assistance in setting everything up. Let’s not forget the dedicated local media, who play an essential role in spreading the word each month, ensuring that no veteran misses out on this wonderful opportunity.

Many generous donors contribute monthly door prizes as well, adding an extra hint of fun and excitement to the morning. These door prizes bring smiles to faces and a sprinkle of joy to the event!

Mark Your Calendars!

Excitingly, this is just the beginning! The breakfast will continue into the coming months with some fantastic sponsors lined up. For instance:

  • November 9: Sponsored by AMVETS Post 2 and AMVETS Auxiliary Post 2 from Oak Ridge.
  • December 14: Hosted by Gentivahs and Brent Wallace.
  • January 11, 2025: Sponsored by veteran Jerry Kelley.
  • February 8, 2025: Brought to you by the Clinton Lions Club.
  • March 8, 2025: Sponsored by Clinch River Home Healthcare.
  • April 12, 2025: Sponsored by Alexander Guest House.
