Fire Department Gets a Lifeline
Lastly, there’s a resolution up for vote concerning the Knoxville Fire Department. They’ve recently obtained an ambulance to maintain a dedicated medical standby unit during fire calls and other emergency incidents. This new addition is indeed a significant enhancement for the fire services. The state has mandated that despite this new asset, Knox County will remain the primary ambulance provider in Knoxville.
