Rep. Burchett Demands Full Investigation Into Attempted Assassination of Former President Trump

Responding to the recent attempted assassination on Former President Donald Trump, a vigorous demand for a thorough investigation was expressed.

Disbelief and Demand for Transparent Investigation

“Disbelief, how could that happen, and then after reviewing it, I really can’t figure out how it happened,” was the comment. A prominent supporter of the former president expressed frustration at the incident, calling on field experts, including former members of intelligence agencies, to help understand the security breach.

“They all said the same thing: that this was a complete breach of security and this, we got lucky, every one of them said they could have made that shot,” it was added.

Acknowledging Increased Political Tension

Increasing political tension and divisiveness in Washington was pointed out. “But now, dinners with people from other parties are getting fewer and farther between. It’s partly due to the instantaneous part of society now with phones and computers, you just put it out there as soon as you get it.

“I think at some point it’ll turn. We’ll get to a saturation point, I don’t know how much more you can turn it up at this point. It’s at a fever pitch,” was stated.

A Plea for Accountability

At the time of the incident, Trump had been formally named the Republican presidential nominee. There were voices arguing that the investigation should not be delayed. “They’re going to tell us they need time to get their ducks in a row and to get all this and generally that will reek of a coverup in a lot of instances. Even if it’s not, the public will assume it is,” it was noted.

Questions Need Answering

According to a long list of questions need answering like, “How was this guy on the roof? Why was there no aerial surveillance? Why was the former president not pulled off the stage immediately? Why was there a hesitation? Did they have to have permission to shoot? What went on with that?”

Concerns about personal safety in the hostile political climate were expressed by another subject. Though not elaborating on specific measures, assurance was given that necessary precautions are being taken.
