Blount County Community Unites for the Empty Pantry Fund to Spread Holiday Cheer

Blount County’s Heartwarming Holiday Help: The Empty Pantry Fund

Why do we love Christmas? It’s that magical time of the year when giving and sharing warmth donut make chilly evenings seem a lot less cold and a lot more cozy! Here in Blount County, our community shines during the festive season, especially with the help of initiatives like the Empty Pantry Fund. This amazing program helps ensure that everyone in the county has something to eat during the holidays.

Making Spirits Bright

Each Christmas, the Empty Pantry Fund spreads joy by distributing food baskets to families and individuals who need it most. Imagine waking up on Christmas morning, the smell of gingerbread and cinnamon wafting through the air, and knowing that you have a delicious meal waiting for you. That’s what the Empty Pantry Fund is all about – making spirits bright and filling those empty pantries.

Want to Help Out?

If you’re feeling the holiday spirit and want to lend a hand, there are several ways you can contribute! It’s super easy to join in on the giving. You can send a check to the Empty Pantry Fund, c/o The Daily Times, at 226 Gill St., Alcoa, TN 37701. If you prefer the in-person touch, just drop by the reception desk at The Daily Times, and they’ll take care of your donation.

Not a fan of checks or cash? No worries! You can hop online to www.emptypantryfund.org and donate through Paypal with just a few clicks. Whether you donate $5 or $500, every little bit counts, and it all goes toward helping those who are having a tough time this holiday season.

What If You Missed Registration?

You can still reach out and get your name on the waitlist by calling 865-306-4079. It’s never too late to step in and be part of this loving community effort.

And for those of you who need to make changes to your registration information, you can call 865-268-9497. It’s that simple! Just keep in mind that this is your chance to ensure that every family, every child gets the love and support they need.

Get Ready for the Holiday Season!

Christmas can feel overwhelming for some, especially when it comes to making sure everyone has enough food on the table or presents under the tree. But together, as a community, we have the power to make a difference! Don’t let your browser’s outdated status hold you back from helping others. Take a moment and update your device so you can stay connected to what’s happening in our wonderful county.

Wrap-Up

So, as the days grow shorter and we get closer to Christmas, remember that a little kindness can go a long way. Filling those empty pantries and sharing festive cheer can turn a tough time into a joyous one. So let’s grab our pens, write those checks, drop off some goodies, and help out a neighbor in need! Together, we can remind everyone just how warm and bright this holiday season can be!
