In light of recent events, our community has once again shown its generous spirit. The Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union (KTVAECU) spearheaded a cash donation drive to assist those affected by Hurricane Helene in East Tennessee and Western North Carolina. Launched on September 27, 2024, the drive has already made waves! With KTVAECU matching up to $25,000, the community has raised an inspiring total of $120,000 for Second Harvest of East Tennessee. How wonderful it is to see our community come together during difficult times!
Charlotte Havely, Vice President of Marketing, shared heartfelt sentiments, saying, “This region is our home. We’re heartbroken by the unprecedented effect Hurricane Helene has had on our neighbors, and we hope our efforts will bring relief and comfort.”
In addition to cash donations, KTVAECU has been busy assisting by donating essential supplies to first responders in Cocke and Unicoi Counties. The collective hurricane relief efforts are projected to exceed an astounding $200,000. It’s such moments that illuminate the bonds we share in our community—truly heartwarming!
“In moments like this, our philosophy of People Helping People, Members Helping Members, really shines. Our community is truly incredible,” said Kimberley Trimble, Chief People Officer at KTVAECU.
