Alcoa High School Launches Aviation Program in Partnership with AvZ Flight School

Alcoa High School, located in Alcoa, Tennessee, has announced it will be offering a flight training program for the 2024-2025 school year. The program is thanks to new grant funding and is set to be available to interested 11th and 12th-grade students who meet certain requirements.

Availability and Eligibility

The flight training program is designed for students in their junior and senior years, who are at least 16 years of age. To qualify for enrollment, students will need to have a solid attendance record and demonstrate competencies in math and science. They need to also satisfy all FAA eligibility requirements and have availability in their schedules for both the Fall and Spring semesters.
