So, grab your hot cocoa and let’s dive into what’s happening around town!

Let the Festivities Begin!

First off, mark your calendars for November 22nd because that’s when the Christmas at Chilhowee event kicks off. From 6 to 9 p.m. at Chilhowee Park, get ready for some festive fun that includes a delightful tree-lighting ceremony on the bandstand. Plus, you can snap a free photo with Santa, indulge in some fun crafts, and children can enjoy a special holiday Touch-A-Truck event where they’ll get up close with beautifully decorated fire trucks, police cars, and construction vehicles. And the best part? It’s all absolutely free!

The Regal Celebration of Lights

Then, on November 29th, you won’t want to miss the Regal Celebration of Lights event. Starting at 5:15 p.m., the magic begins with live music followed by the lighting of the magnificent 42-foot tall Mickey Mallonee Christmas Tree at 6 p.m. Join in for holiday dances, crafts for the little ones, and a workshop just for your mini elves. Food trucks will also be on-site to curb your munchies. Doesn’t that sound like a blast?

Get Ready to Ice Skate!

If you love ice skating, the Holidays on Ice event is just for you! Beginning on November 29, the ice rink opens in Market Square, inviting everyone to skate surrounded by beautiful Christmas lights. Special hours on opening day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. will give you the chance to enjoy the festivities all day long. From November 29 to December 22, you can skate from 4 to 9 p.m. on weekdays, noon to 10 p.m. on Fridays, and even all day on the weekends! Tickets are available for purchase online, so snag a pass to warm your heart and keep the holiday spirit alive!

Holiday Parades and Bike Rides

The excitement continues with the 51st annual WIVK Christmas Parade on December 6.
