Dog Pool Party Fun

Knoxville Hosts the Pooch Plunge Pool Party for Dogs

Knoxville is set to come alive with wagging tails and splashes as the 3rd annual Pooch Plunge makes its big return this Saturday, September 7th. Dog lovers and their furry friends are invited to the Allen Rosen Aquatic Center, located at the Arnstein Jewish Community Center, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This exciting event is not just a pool party for dogs but also serves as a fundraiser for the Smokin’ Salmon Swim Team, a community swim program supported by the Knoxville Jewish Alliance.

A Splashing Good Time for All

Whether your dog prefers to dive into the deep end or just enjoy a paddle in the shallow end, there will be something for every pup. The facility features a large pool for the more adventurous swimmers and a shallow baby pool that is separately fenced for smaller breeds. For pups who might not be so keen on the water, there will also be a spacious grassy area available for play.

Event coordinator Kaleigh McVety, who is not only a veterinarian but also a parent of a swimmer on the team, encourages everyone to participate. Kaleigh said, “Everyone is welcome whether they do or do not have a doggy escort so please come out and enjoy yourselves while donating to a great cause!” The Pooch Plunge is a fantastic way to spend a Saturday with your dog while supporting a local initiative.

More Than Just Swimming

Aside from the fun in the water, the Pooch Plunge will also feature a variety of attractions for humans. Attendees can enjoy live music, grab a bite from food trucks, and check out various vendors. This blend of activities is sure to keep everyone entertained, making it a great day out for both people and pets.

About Smokin’ Salmon Swim Team
