City of Knoxville Accepts Applications for Neighborhood Advisory Council
The City of Knoxville is inviting community members to apply for the Neighborhood Advisory Council (NAC). This is a great opportunity for local residents who want to engage with city government and advocate for their neighborhoods.
What Is the Neighborhood Advisory Council?
The NAC is a group made up of neighborhood leaders and advocates who meet regularly to discuss issues affecting various neighborhoods across the city. It consists of 15 members, with two representatives from each of the six City Council districts and three at-large members. This council acts as a bridge between residents and city officials, allowing for better communication and collaboration on neighborhood needs.
Who Should Apply?
Residents who are interested in applying should have a passion for their community. If you often think about how to improve your neighborhood, how city services can better meet local needs, or if you enjoy discussing public policies related to neighborhood issues, then this council might be the perfect fit for you. The city encourages anyone who is dedicated to advocating for their community to consider submitting an application.
