Free Veterans Breakfast to be Held in Clinton, Tennessee
Clinton, Tennessee, – The city is again playing host to the popular free Veterans Breakfast on July 13th at the Clinton Community Center, located at 101 S. Hicks St.
A Community Tradition
This breakfast, now in its eighth year, was inspired by local World War II veteran, the late Rev. William Ward. The “chow line” starts from 8:30 AM, followed by a brief program scheduled for 9 AM. This event has grown into a community tradition where Anderson County citizens and community volunteers join forces to ensure the success of this monthly event. Their aim is to create a communal space that enables veterans of all ages and branches to fellowship and share stories over breakfast. Veterans, their spouses, families, or friends are all welcome to attend.
Honoring State and Local Partnerships
This month’s breakfast is locally sponsored by state representative, John Ragan. In addition, the city of Clinton is acknowledged for kindly hosting the monthly event and arranging the required setup. Various media partners are also recognized for their role in informing the community about the breakfast each month, ensuring veterans are aware of the event. Other generous donors are also appreciated for providing the engaging door prizes each month.

Future sponsors include The Clinton High School Air Force JROTC Dragon Squadron in September, Rebecca Watts with Humana in October, AMVETS Post 2 and AMVETS Auxiliary Post 2 in November, and Gentivahs and Brent Wallace in December. The breakfast planned for Jan. 11, 2025, is still open to sponsorships, with the February breakfast already committed by the Clinton Lions Club.
